Marcia J. Berger, P.E., L.S.P., President: Ms. Berger, is a Registered Professional Engineer and Licensed Site Professional in Massachusetts with over 30 years experience in assessment and cleanup of oil and hazardous waste contaminated properties. Ms. Berger has variously conducted, managed and reviewed thousands of environmental site assessments and remedial engineering and implementation projects for both the public and private sectors. She previously was a senior engineer for the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection in the wastewater and hazardous waste site cleanup divisions. She has developed several innovative environmental technologies. Ms Berger holds a M.S. in Civil Engineering with a major in Water and Wastewater Engineering from Northeastern University, studied Groundwater Hydrogeology at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and has a B.A. in Ecology and Microbiology from Hampshire College.

Robert Houghton, Site Assessment Technical Director: Robert Houghton is a hydrogeologist with 35 years experience, including ten years of research and management with the U.S. Geological Survey and subsequent environmental consulting for industrial and private firms. He has published more than 25 peer-reviewed research reports and books, and has prepared numerous construction operations plans for infrastructure projects. He has managed assessment and remedial activities at numerous government and private sites. Mr. Houghton has a B.A. in geology from Hope College and 5 years of geochemistry studies at MIT.

Daniel Carvalho, P.E., Lead Design Engineer: Mr. Carvalho is a Registered Professional Engineer with 40 years of experience designing and managing environmental engineering projects. His projects include groundwater treatment and industrial wastewater treatment systems for site cleanups and industrial facilities. Mr. Carvalho earned a recognition award as lead engineer for a 1000 gpm hazardous waste groundwater treatment system at McClellan Air Force Base in CA. He was variously head designer and project manager for Metcalf & Eddy, Parsons, Stone & Webster, and CDM. He has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and M.S. in Environmental Engineering with honors from Northeastern University.

Joel A. Lord, L.A., Field Operations Manager: Joel Lord has over twenty years of experience managing site work. He has worked with ABC Soils for over ten years managing and inspecting field operations for small, one-day operations to multi-million dollar environmental construction projects. A Registered Landscape Architect in Massachusetts and Maine, his knowledge of construction management contributes to his effectiveness in overseeing and directing field work. Mr. Lord has a B.A. in Landscape Architecture from Colorado State University.

Isaac W. Anderson, Remediation Operations Manager: Isaac Anderson has twelve years experience in the environmental cleanup field. Mr. Anderson is experienced in managing work crews for site cleanup work, soil vacuum excavation, construction and demolition work, and mold remediation. He is also experienced in inspecting and tracing stormwater and wastewater infrastructure and evaluating stormwater quality. Mr. Anderson works on innovative approaches for remediating chlorinated solvent and petroleum contamination using bacteria and oxidants. He holds a B.S. in Biology from the University of Maine in Orono.

Michael E. Niemczyk, Office Manager: Mr Niemczyk has over thirty years of corporate, operational and small company controllership experience. He has extensive background in general accounting, domestic and international order administration, sales finance, short and long term planning, and forecasting and analysis. He is also experienced in international finance, capital budgeting and supply chain management. He has a B.S.B.A. and M.B.A. from Babson College.
